Aleksandra Paniak - Psycholog

About me

Blisko Siebie Aleksandra Paniak is a place of support for children, adolescents, and families. I offer help as a child and adolescent psychologist and neuropsychologist, providing consultations, psychological counseling, diagnostics, crisis intervention, and training.

I graduated in Psychology at SWPS University in Warsaw, and I am currently expanding my competencies through training at the School of Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents, and Families. I continuously develop my skills by participating in numerous specialist courses and training programs. I gained professional experience in mental health clinics, hospitals, and kindergartens, which allowed me to work with people of different ages and diverse needs.

In my work, I integrate approaches and tools derived from various psychotherapeutic schools, adapting them to the individual needs of my patients. However, a particularly important place in my practice is occupied by the psychodynamic approach, which is the closest to me and forms my main perspective for understanding psychological difficulties and therapeutic work.

Scope of support

I support children, adolescents, adults, and families in the areas of emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Child and adolescent psychologist

I provide psychological consultations, support, and activities aimed at better understanding oneself, emotions, and behavior. I also offer diagnostics, psychological counseling, and crisis intervention. I support individuals experiencing emotional difficulties such as anxiety disorders, low mood, or depression, as well as adaptation, social, and school-related difficulties. I also work with individuals with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.

An important area of my work is supporting emotional development, strengthening personal resources, and helping cope with difficulties at various stages of life. I support individuals throughout their development, accompanying them through challenging experiences and life changes.

Goal: supporting psychological well-being, strengthening resources, and developing effective coping strategies in daily functioning.

  • Support in emotional difficulties (e.g. anxiety, low mood, depression)
  • Help with social, school, and adaptation difficulties
  • Support for individuals with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder
  • Help in crisis situations and emotional overload
  • Strengthening personal resources and sense of safety
  • Support in development and life transitions
  • Issuing psychological opinions

Social Skills Training (SST)

I conduct group Social Skills Training sessions for children and adolescents. SST is a form of support that can benefit every child and teenager—not only those with developmental difficulties or disorders. The sessions focus on developing competencies needed in everyday social functioning.

During the sessions, participants learn assertiveness, understanding and naming emotions, effective communication, coping with difficult situations, and cooperation in groups. An important part also includes developing social norms, self-awareness, theory of mind, and empathy.

Goal: strengthening social competencies and supporting the building of satisfying relationships and better functioning in peer groups.

  • Developing relationship-building skills
  • Learning assertiveness, communication, and cooperation
  • Practicing social situation coping skills
  • Developing empathy, theory of mind, and self-awareness
  • Strengthening self-confidence and sense of agency
  • Safe space for learning and practicing skills

Neuropsychologist

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, providing neuropsychological assessment and support. I conduct consultations regarding neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders as well as cognitive difficulties. I also provide cognitive training aimed at improving memory, concentration, attention, processing speed, and motivation.

In work with adults and seniors, I also use standardized neuropsychological tests to assess cognitive functioning and then tailor interventions and work plans individually. I continuously monitor progress to best support the improvement process.

Goal: improving cognitive functioning and supporting independence and quality of life in daily activities.

  • Assessment of cognitive functions and diagnosis of difficulties
  • Training memory, attention, concentration, and motivation
  • Support in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders
  • Improving daily functioning organization and efficiency
  • Systematic progress monitoring
  • Individual tailoring of interventions to needs and age
  • Strengthening cognitive resources and abilities

Psychological tests

I conduct psychological assessments for both children, adolescents, and adults. In diagnostic work, I use a wide range of standardized tools adapted to age and reported difficulties. For adults, I use personality tests such as MMPI-2 and NEO-PI-R, as well as neuropsychological tools such as ACE-III, MoCA, and MMSE. For children, I use IDS-2 and other tools assessing cognitive, emotional, and psychological development.

Goal: obtaining a reliable, multidimensional picture of psychological, cognitive, and personality functioning based on standardized diagnostic tools.

  • Reliable diagnosis based on standardized psychological tests
  • Assessment of personality, emotions, and cognitive processes
  • Neuropsychological assessment (e.g. memory, attention, executive functions)
  • Support in understanding personal strengths and difficulties
  • Help in planning further diagnostic or therapeutic process
  • Professional interpretation of results and feedback session
